1.) I do not visit many blogs but when I do, I visit my friend's blog "NFL Spin Zone" I visit it to get the most recent updates regarding my favorite team and to see the latest transactions that occur in the NFL.
2.) I would say his blog is just as reliable as the mainstream news distributors. I am able to see it faster than on the mainstream news distributors because his blogs are connected to my Facebook/Twitter accounts. Other times they are not as reliable because he sometimes speculates and throws in his own opinions.
3.) Yes, I would build a buzz without mentioning I am being paid. Not saying I am being paid is a better way to promote it because it shows I believe in the product without having money as an incentive.
4.) There are several things one can do to take an effective still photo for feature stories. The first one is move in close and locking in the focus on the photo. Doing this ensures you will have a good picture of the main subject you are trying to take a photo of. Another thing that can be done is to watch the light. Keeping the light out will result in a nice an clear photo. The last thing you can do to get a good picture is to take some vertical pictures. Although there is nothing wrong with taking horizontal pictures, some pictures look even better from a vertical point of view.
