a.) I have mixed feelings when it comes to writing a feature story. I am thankful for the opportunity to do this because I do not have experience working with feature stories. I know I am going to struggle at first, but I am optimistic I will get it right after a few tries. This is a great opportunity to sharpen my public relations skills and to help me become competitive in the field.
b.) I think I will do exceptionally well when it comes to asking the right questions and collecting the necessary information for the feature stories. I am confident I will come prepared for everyone I will be interviewing.
c.) The only concern I have about the feature stories are my paragraphs not transitioning well. It is crucial for the parapraphs to flow nicely because a lot of people will be reading the stories.
d.) During the video shoot, I noticed everyone was attentive to the guest speaker. I have never been inside the chapel before so I got to see how nice it was inside there while listening to Jonathan Potts talk about the his job, the field of public relations, and the potential at Robert Morris.
I think my feature stories took me a few tries as well. After writing my third one, I found some ways to go back and fix up the first two a bit. The interviewing was what made me the most nervous, though. I've never had to conduct an interview before and then all of a sudden I had to do four.
ReplyDeleteI was in the same boat as you Greg. I did not have any experience with feature stories, but I was pretty optimistic. When I started writing, it just seemed to flow. I found it to not be that bad of an experience; I actually enjoyed it.
